Abstract

A substantial body of research addressing the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace has been developed over the past decade. Sexual harassment has consequences. More than half of the employees reported negative consequences for their personal well-being; a third of the harassed employees described negative effects for their work situation such as resignation, reduction in tasks, change of workplace, and poorer working conditions. Also, the harassment had negative consequences for work satisfaction, the working climate and motivation.
