Abstract

The objective of this article is to highlight the importance of indicators for financing projects financed by European funds in their evaluation and monitoring by institutions implementing and managing European funds. Indicators play a decisive role in establishing the financing priorities at the level of a member state of the European Union, at the operational program level and even at the project level. In this article, a theoretical synthesis is made on the notion of financing indicators, at program level and at project level, their importance, the way of tracking their degree of accomplishment and the effects of their nonfulfilment.
