Did the Earth Move? Social and co-operative models of economic activity

Abstract

Molly Scott-Cato shares examples of a third way between public and private sector. She argues that mutual aid and reciprocal economic relations would allow for flourishing in societies of various different political complexions. She proposes a mutual and sustainable economy characterized by sufficiency and co-operation. Working in communities we can establish what our real needs are, and provide for these together and through our own efforts, rather than as individual consumers.
