Good Practices for Quality Assurance in Romanian Higher Education

Abstract

Quality in higher education is a multi-dimensional, multilevel and dynamic concept that relates to the contextual settings of an educational model, to the institutional mission and objectives, as well as to specific standards within a given system, institution, program or discipline. Quality education is given by an innovative transformation, always seeking to diversify school functions in order to develop it as a resource center for students, parents, organizations and for other members of the community. The pace and dynamism of development can arise from education which has the means and the strength to train and educate mobile and active generations, well intellectually endowed, able to overcome the inertia of social and economic environment, strongly influenced by the contemporary world trends.
