Abstract

L’avènement de l’énergie nucléaire a fait surgir il y a de cela près d’un demi-siècle la nécessité de développer un régime de responsabilité répondant aux nouveaux risques liés à cette technologie : risques de nature catastrophique, mais aussi risques insidieux car non détectables par le commun des mortels. Les principes de ce régime ont résisté à l’épreuve du temps, même si certains d’entre eux sont maintenant parfois accusés d’avoir eu aussi pour but de protéger une industrie naissante.
