Open Data in the Context of Sustainable Food Systems

Abstract

The report discusses the importance of open data for improving transparency, awareness, and effectiveness of sustainable food systems. Open data is seen as a strategic resource that support scientific research, innovation, and public policies aimed at sustainable food production and consumption. It has the potential to be a catalyst for more sustainable food practices, better resource management, and enhanced collaboration between scientific, governmental, and civic communities. Various sources of open data and their role in tracking social, economic, and environmental indicators related to food systems are examined.
