Abstract

The essence and principles of social impact assessment are examined. The problem of parking in Sofia is defined and the implemented policy for solving it by the municipal administration is considered. Methods are suggested for assessing the effectiveness of the measures taken by municipal authorities to address the problem of parking. Parking problems are analyzed in relation to the increase in traffic intensity as well as the extent to which the policy of Sofia Municipality manages to solve the problems of parking in the conditions of ever-growing traffic intensity.
