The transition to an innovation economy: opportunities and constraints for the education system

Abstract

The present paper analyzes the concept of innovation-based economy in the context of the educational system. The author states that in preparing human resources for innovation-based economy educational system does not account for the current trends of economic development, for instance the distributed nature of business processes and socio-cultural modernization. The author considers the directions of changes in a current "educational mode" - a system of relations in education which affects the future system of relations in society.DOI: 10.17323/1814-9545-2011-3-54-72
