Abstract

(Project-based learning has a long tradition in educational science as well as in education for sustainable development. By means of projects learners get the chance to experience themselves as experimenting and effective actors in change processes. The article transfers the idea of experimental learning to societal transformation processes. “Real world experiments” and “real world laboratories” thereby become a catalyst for a learning society on its way to sustainable development.)
