Abstract

This study examines the impact of entrepreneurial orientation: innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking and university support on the success of entrepreneurial ideas among university students in Western Algeria. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected from 310 students through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results indicate that university support significantly enhances entrepreneurial success, while innovativeness has a direct positive effect. However, proactiveness and risk-taking alone do not significantly influence success unless moderated by institutional support. The findings highlight the critical role of universities in fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems through incubators, mentorship, and funding. The study contributes to the literature by integrating individual and institutional factors in entrepreneurial success and offering practical insights for policymakers and educators.
