In our country, contravention belong from the historical point of view to criminal law. Historically, contraventions were passed from the penal field and they have been brought to administrative field and today, as we can see, we can identify an autonomy of the contraventional law. We appreciated that an analisys of the current cases is a very actual topic in order to capture this new trend reported to European influences from the harmonization of the national legislation with Community law. For this purpose, we intend to describe some aspects on contraventional law, focusing especially on case law that we conseider relevant to the topic.
