Abstract

The utilization by the public sector of nonprofit society for the delivery of public goods and services, including social services involves the cooperation between these sectors. In this study, we focus on three important aspects relevant for these relationships: the cause of the phenomenon, the forms which these relationships take and and the structural arrangements necessary to ensure the effectiveness of such efforts. The various approaches which government takes in the delivering of different goods and services are reviewed and it is seen that all of them lend themselves to cooperative initiatives.
