Abstract

The article proposes a explorative approach to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a community development program in rural areas. By making the present research we wanted to contribute to help increase awareness among project beneficiaries on the importance of participation in community development. The subject of this study is the ethical and social evaluation of community development program implemented in two of the communities in which it takes place. Techniques used in data collection were individual interviews and focus group interviews, respondents were represented by three key people in the process of sustainable development among professionals and stakeholders in the communities analyzed. Article will expose a summary of the analysis of data from qualitative research conducted. In the analysis we have emphasized ethical implication of the process of community development, given by social responsibility of the communities in which the project was implemented. The need to explore the theme reveals from the fact that it is a notorious issue dealing with a phenomenon increased power of manifestation. More and more NGOs are investing in the development of rural communities, precisely because it is an area that deserves attention. The empowerment of community actors and their response to social actions initiated through and in community development process are issues that could influence the success of such a project.
