Abstract

Ethics considers the systematic reflection on the values and principles that govern the relationships between people, also between them and society. It is a normative field, prescribing a series of precepts and values that motivate a series of behaviors in parallel with the prohibition of others. Business ethics is a distinct field of applied ethics, manifesting itself like other branches (ethics in the teaching field, medical ethics, etc.) by applying general principles, the most important being utility or duty. The article captures the significant milestones of structuring a theoretical framework regarding the awareness of the importance of ethics for the business field.
