Abstract

Deep and painful changes through which Romanian society and the general crisis of values, require special attention from sociologists to study youth and how they are reported in the current to religious values. Secondary analysis of empirical data on the following had distinct variables: area of residence, faith in God, church attendance by young people. In our study we left the general hypothesis that young religious behavior conforms to the general trend of a decreasing trend, characteristic of all age groups in accordance with the broader trend of secularization. Although somewhat predictable results (provisional and incomplete yet) reveal higher religiosity among rural youth, rural youth towards religiosity urban. However, as we shall see, certain nuances and prudent action are required.
