Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk niengkaji sumbangan penelitian-penelitian yang dilakukan di subsektor tanaman pangan dan hcrtikultura terliadap produksi komoditas-komoditas yang diproduksinya. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanaman padi ladang dan padi sawah, jagung, kedele, ubikayu, kacang-tanah ubijaiar, kacang-hijau, kubis, kentang, bawang piitih, mustar, bawang merah, jeruk, pisang, papaya, mangga, nenas, dan durian. Analisis data dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Desember 1994. Dari 20 jenis komoditas yang diteiiti, sebeias jenis menunjukkan dampak produktivitas yang nyata dan tujidibeias komoditas mempunyai dampak yang positif. Dua komoditas (ubikayu dan mangga) tidak menunjukkan dampak apa-apa. Penelitian menyimpidkan balnva dampak investasi penelitian pada tanaman pangan dan hortikultura temyata besar, kecuali bagi tiga komoditas seperti ubikayu, mangga, dan durian.
