Abstract

A cikk első része a rendszerváltás részeként megvalósult külkereskedelmi irányváltás főbb jellemzőit mutatta be, különös tekintettel a korábbi egyoldalú szovjet (KGST-) orientáció lehetetlenülésére és az Európai Unió országainak gyors túlsúlyra kerülésére a kilencvenes években. A második részben a reorientációt követően kialakult struktúra néhány fontosabb jellemzőjét - erősségeit és gyengeségeit - vizsgáljuk meg: Németország központi szerepét az új integrációban, ennek okait és következményeit; a kelet-közép- és délkelet-európai országokkal való kapcsolatok háttérbe szorulásának folytatódását; végül azt, hogy mi lehet a magyarázata az Oroszországgal való kereskedelem (főleg az oda irányuló magyar export) hanyatlásának. A cikk következtetése szerint a regionális struktúrában további jelentős kvantitatív változások nem várhatók. Az euróatlanti viszony és az Európai Unió belső intézményi fejlő-désének bizonytalanságai azonban tágabb értelemben vett orientációs problémák forrásai lehetnek.
