Learning the Practice of Operations Research

Abstract

The OR department at Stanford University has made a 20-year effort to develop an environment for learning the practice of OR. The first of two courses is based on student teams competing to improve existing case results, and the second course is based on student teams undertaking sponsored projects in industry.
