Determinantes Económicos de los Flujos de Viajeros a México

Abstract

México se ha convertido en uno de los principales destinos turísticos en el mundo, lo que se refleja en los altos lugares ocupados en los listados internacionales. Sin embargo, el sector turístico mexicano ha presentado una fuerte dependencia de la economía estadounidense, motivo por el cual en este trabajo, mediante un Modelo Estructural de Vectores Autorregresivos, SVAR, se analiza el impacto de crecimiento económico de los Estados Unidos y las variaciones del tipo de cambio peso-dólar americano en la llegada de visitantes a México, hallándose en ambos casos una influencia positiva y significativa.
