Abstract

In November 2018, the most recent report of the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism concerning Romania’s implementation on the recommendations of the European Commission was published. Given that both Romania and Bulgaria are both monitored under Cooperation and Verification Mechanism, this article aims to present a comparative analysis of the progresses made by these Member States, while highlighting the challenges and weaknesses in the field of judicial reform and administrative efficiency.
