Gasto público en educación: financiamiento, eficiencia e impacto distributivo

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar la evolución del gasto público educativo en Argentina, su financiamiento a lo largo de los últimos 30 años y consideraciones sobre su impacto distributivo. Además, se efectuará un análisis sobre la asignación jurisdiccional de los diferentes tipos de gasto en educación, su pertinencia desde el punto de vista del federalismo. Luego, se presentarán diferentes estimaciones en relación con el impacto del gasto educativo sobre diferentes indicadores de eficiencia. En última instancia se expondrán diferentes resultados que aproximan a la estimación de la relación entre la educación y el crecimiento económico./ The aim of this paper is to present the evolution of public educational spending in Argentina, its financing over the last 30 years and considerations about its distributive impact. In addition, an analysis will be carried out on the jurisdictional allocation of the different types of spending on education, its relevance from the point of view of federalism. Then, different estimates will be presented in relation to the impact of educational spending on different efficiency indicators. Ultimately, different results will be presented that approximate the estimation of the relationship between education and economic growth.
