Abstract

This article aims to analyze the concept of urban informal sector and the advent of the notion of job insecurity, in Argentine. We will also work on the notion of delaborization, as it appeals to the crisis of the classical work and wage paradigm, which is caused by the gradual breakdown of the legal security-economic dependency binomial. This document has the dual intention of, on the one hand, to review the structuralist tradition through the concept of structural heterogeneity, from which the characteristics of the urban informal sector can be analyzed and, on the other, to analize the meaning of social fragmentation produced by the phenomenon of breakdown of classic labor relations. The crisis of capital-labor relationships leads as to delve into the dimension of the informal sector and precarious employment. This vertex takes center stage in the analysis of the Argentine labor market because it is a phenomenon that derives mainly from the economic-social transformations of the 1990s.
