Abstract

Designing software applications have cycles in development process. What are the more effective ways to improve modelling the business rules in development process? In the beginning there are requirements and business rules, based on which are the software applications modelled. Requirements and business rules are often given by customer, mostly in written form, which can be included in development process. These business rules are not clearly understandable for laymen, or the rules are displayed in a way that needs more specific explanation from an expert in the field. Research started with determination of business rules, designed with two different notations, based on which the criteria were written. After that the survey was created, which answers were subjected with comparative method. Criterion informativeness, standard compliance, novice friendly and development bindingness, were used to evaluate answers. Based on survey and evaluated answers, the way of modelling business rules more effectively was proposed.
