Application of total quality management to improve the quality of battery in India

Abstract

The work incorporated in this article provides a detailed analysis of total quality management done by different models including just in time, Kanban, risk management, system standard, quality circle, Kaizen, 5S, etc. Where the main focus is given on the quality circle initiative which is implemented all over in many organisations. The main objective of the quality circle is increasing product quality, involvement in decision making, mutual help, customer satisfaction, etc. It increases employee satisfaction level and also increases involvement inter-department. It helps the organisation to make defect-free products and also helps to reduce the cost by applying the quality circle methodology and it develops a positive attitude and a sense of involvement in the decision-making processes of the services offered.
