Abstract

The present study addresses the importance of strategies that promote body awareness at an early age, particularly in preschool. The research question was: How does body awareness impact the development of children? In this context, we sought to understand the role of body awareness in early ages, what its relationship is with children's autonomy and motivation, while also promoting activities that follow active learning. Methodologically, this study is guided by qualitative research. Data collection was carried out through an observation grid, drawing analysis and an interview with the co-group educator. The sample focused on a group of 25 children aged between two and three years old and their respective group educator. After completing the study, we can infer that the awareness of the human body has a direct influence on the development of children.
