Abstract

This paper examines the mediating role of crisis management in the relationship between strategic leadership practices and organisational performance in Yemeni private hospitals. Three theoretical lenses underlie this study: contingency theory, resource dependence theory, and the resource-based view. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from Yemeni hospital leaders. The analysis of the data using structural equation modelling suggests that strategic leadership practices play a role in influencing organisational performance through effective crisis management. This study provides insights into the practices of leadership in handling crises and achieving success within organisations. The findings have implications for management. They offer practical guidance to businesses aiming to enhance productivity during challenging times.
