Abstract

The article presents a study of prioritisation of human capital (HC) sub-indicators in the manufacturing industries located in the northern central part of India. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Grey relational analysis (GRA) multi-criteria decision-making method are used for calculation and analysis of results in this study. AHP is used to determine the relative weight of each sub-indicator, GRA method used for final ranking of the HC sub-indicators. We have found that the 'employee competence' followed by others emerged out to be the best sub-indicators among the considered sub-indicators of HC. Due to the broad application of AHP and GRA, it has been an important research subject for many researchers with context to manufacturing industries. However, the future work will be done by considering manufacturing industries located in another part of India other than northern central part of India as well as in service industries of India.
