Abstract

The business world and the economic decisions are, by tradition and culture, a masculine world. There are few references and authors that have approached these disciplines from a gender perspective; analyzing what it implies, differences, contributions and impact of the female incorporation in the productive environment, and specifically the entrepreneurial activities. The objective of the investigation is: build a profile of women with an enterprising spirit in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico; for this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 66 enterprising women. As a result of the statistic process, the results are grouped with the following dimensions: Entrepreneurial-Demographic Characteristic; Environment and organization, Indicators or Economic Performance and Indicators or Motivational and Social Aspects.
