Abstract

Rural extension has been used to generate rural development in Mexico since the mid-1950s as part of public policies for rural development. The extension is responsible for carrying out the execution of the activity, or playing a key role in achieving the objectives proposed in the rural development policy agent. The aim of this paper is to analyze the professional profile of the extension with extension services in BCS; An extension with appropriate expertise, dedication, attitudes, academic training relevant and sufficient knowledge, have more elements to enhance the development and strengthening of the capacities. These capacities include learning and innovation, active, autonomous and permanent supportive of clients seen. This is done to achieve its own integral development and its processes, leading to success, keeping current on current social, environmental and market conditions.
