Abstract

This paper develops an analysis of the existing differences and particularities of knowledge transfer in the practice of a craft work for people who provide their services in the Christmas SMSES Chignahuapan industry located in Puebla, Mexico. We examine knowledge networks as facilitators of the aforementioned transmission among persons involved in globeo, metallic, decorating and packaging. The results show how the transfer of knowledge occurs and that this transfer is born home work involving the family. This occurs because work in the industry is seasonal and most people have a steady job. This work occurs at more than 400 workshops located in the zone operated under the modality of homework. We draw attention to the presence of and transfer of tacit knowledge with the support of social networks in the same workshops
