Abstract

In order to justify directions and identify reserves for improving the efficiency of agricultural production, it is necessary to evaluate the various phenomena occurring in this field. However, it is difficult to do this based on the use of one criterion. Therefore, a system of concrete indicators reflecting the influence of various factors on the production process should be substantiated. The purpose of the article is to analyze existing methodical approaches and justify on this basis the system of indicators of economic efficiency of wheat production. The process of occurrence of expenses is investigated depending on factors of production in agroindustrial complex. The main factors influencing the economic efficiency of wheat production are determined. In particular, it has been found that the prime cost is the key criterion that influences the efficiency of wheat production. At the same time, in order to carry out a comprehensive assessment of wheat production efficiency, the following criteria should be taken into account: yield, state support, labor resources, seed production, natural factors, current assets, technology, land, innovations, profit margins.
