La agregaci n de costes y beneficios en la evaluaci n de proyectos intergeneracionales: El valor actual neto multigeneracional

Abstract

El presente art culo estudia la agregaci n de los costes y beneficios que recaen sobre las generaciones futuras mediante una ponderaci n que refleje las preferencias sociales al respecto. Se muestra que la ponderaci n intergeneracional social y la individual divergen si se considera una sociedad con m s de una generaci n e individuos altruistas, y que ambas son distintas al peso que implica aplicar a las generaciones futuras el descuento temporal de las generaciones presentes, como ocurre con el valor actual neto convencional. El trabajo propone la aplicaci n de una nueva metodolog a que tenga en cuenta estas preferencias: el valor actual neto multigeneracional. Finalmente, se analizan las implicaciones de la nueva metodolog a con una estructura generacional m s realista. Classification-JEL : D61, D64, H43.
