Abstract

El presente trabajo sintetiza las aportaciones del Ministro Camacho a la fiscalidad en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y en las cuatro ocasiones en que fue Ministro de Hacienda: Contribución Industrial, Impuesto de Derechos Reales, Política Arancelaria, Impuesto sobre Consumos y Conversiones de la Deuda Pública. Modernizó la Administración de la Hacienda. Su aportación más recordada fue la creación del Cuerpo de Abogados del Estado.
