Les fausses nouvelles à l’époque numérique: un aperçu des différentes conceptualisations

Abstract

Cet article présente une revue de la littérature scientifique des définitions du concept de fausses nouvelles (fake news) et des termes associés mock news (nouvelles de moquerie), qui sont utilisés dans la perspective de la communication numérique. A l’heure où ces concepts sont de plus en plus utilisés, il est nécessaire de clarifier leur cadre conceptuel. L’article passe en revue la littérature scientifique classique sur le concept de fausses nouvelles, mais aussi les définitions que les structures et les organi - sations étatiques (comme la Commission européenne, les Nations Unies) et les plateformes sociales (comme Facebook) donnent à ce concept. L’article conclut que parmi les chercheurs de différentes disciplines, il y a un besoin pour une meilleure compréhension du concept de fausses nouvelles et d’un cadre conceptuel spécifique et unitaire pour les différentes manières dont les fausses nouvelles, en particulier, et la désinformation en ligne, en général, peuvent se produire dans l’environnement numérique.
