Economic Situation in the Far Eastern Federal District in 2025

This study presents an analysis of the socio-economic situation of the Far Eastern Federal District in 2025 by the main sectors of the economy and subjects of the Russian Federation carried out based on operational statistical, analytical, and expert information. For the research, the problems of functioning of branches of the real sector of the economy, the social sphere, and foreign economic activity in the context of adaptation to external challenges were studied. The persistence of unstable dynamics with a slowdown in growth rates in certain sectors of the economy was recorded in the absence of signs of an acute economic crisis. The intensification of economic activity was noted in regions with both diversified and highly specialized economies. The positive dynamics of industrial output was mainly due to the growth in mining, as well as the high dynamics of individual sub-sectors of the manufacturing industry. After a short-term decline, positive dynamics was observed in the construction complex of the Far Eastern Federal District, due, among other things, to the expansion of housing construction. In the work of the Far Eastern Federal District transport complex, with the exception of the sea, a decrease in cargo transportation volumes was recorded, at the same time, positive dynamics was noted in the passenger segment. There was an increase in real monetary incomes of the population, which exceeded the rate of inflation. Against this background, there were a number of negative trends such as a decrease in foreign trade turnover, a reduction in investments in fixed assets, a critical level of the ratio of average pensions and wages (i.e., less than 25% of labor income), and a shortage of labor
