Abstract

Developmentalism versus economic liberalism in the populist period and social public expenditure - This article aims to investigate social public expenditure during the populist period (1930-1964) by carrying out a comparative analysis of the 'authoritarian' and 'democratic' ages. In addition, the economic, political and ideological context will be investigated in order to clarify the changes in social expenditure that took place in this period.
