Abstract

O presente trabalho busca trazer o panorama atual da democracia brasileira voltada às práticas e políticas ambientais, observando-se a questão dos avanços democráticos em prol do meio ambiente, permitindo-se uma gestão integrada e participativa no tocante à tutela e preservação dos recursos ambientais. Traz-se aspectos conclusivos e afirmativos acerca da democracia ambiental, a necessidade de participação popular e sua efetiva aplicação na proteção e preservação do meio ambiente e recursos naturais. O método empregado no presente estudo é o analítico. Busca-se com esse estudo analisar o panorama atual da democracia e estabelecer a democracia ambiental como um meio para a proteção do meio ambiente.
