Electrification of Water, which Determines its Surface Tension

Abstract

The generally accepted theory of surface tension states that any electrification of water leads to a decrease in its surface tension. To substantiate the erroneousness of this statement, it is proposed to familiarize oneself with the phenomena that indicate that positive electrification of water increases its surface tension, and negative electrification decreases it. Accordingly, it is proposed to reconsider the generally accepted theory of surface tension, which is purely mechanistic.
