Abstract

This article examines the role of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) and digital media in primary school English teaching across Austria. It assesses innovations in the current curriculum, the opportunities and challenges of adopting CLIL approaches, the current state of media use, and the resulting requirements for training future teachers at the nation’s teacher education colleges. The article demonstrates that both structural and didactic adjustments are vital to translating the current curriculum goals into practice.
