Abstract
Internationalization in higher education has become a critical trend as globalization and interconnectedness grow, aiming to integrate global dimensions into educational practices to prepare students for a globalized world better. This study examines the internationalization efforts of Guangzhou Huali College, a private university in China, to cultivate global competence among students. Despite facing financial constraints and cultural resistance, the college has made strategic progress by establishing international partnerships, integrating global perspectives into its curriculum, and promoting study-abroad programs. The research, conducted through document analysis, reveals that while significant achievements have been made, faculty training and resource allocation challenges remain. The findings underscore the importance of strategic planning and support systems for internationalization, offering practical guidance for other private universities seeking to enhance their global engagement. The study concludes that fostering an inclusive campus and overcoming institutional resistance is essential for successful internationalization initiatives.
