Abstract

Introducción. Este trabajo intenta aportar algunos elementos generales para el análisis de las crisis financieras junto con algunas ideas sobre nuestra propia crisis en Chile. La primera parte distingue los sistemas financieros posibles y los patrones de actividad que se desarrollan en ellos, con base en la hipótesis de que la inestabilidad financiera es intrínseca a sistemas no dirigidos o centralizados. La segunda parte explica desde un punto de vista teórico las opciones de administración de las crisis financieras en economías capitalistas. La tercera y cuarta partes examinan algunas características de la administración de la crisis en Chile. Finalmente la quinta parte entrega algunas pautas para avanzar en la redefinición del sistema financiero de manera de superar los requerimientos efectivos de crecimiento y desarrollo...
