Abstract

Introducción. Análisis recientes han demostrado los efectos adversos de la incertidumbre política en la inversión en los países en desarrollo: los inversionistas nacionales y los extranjeros pueden preferir esperar a que la incertidumbre desaparezca por sí misma o invertir en el extranjero. Esto puede colocar al gobernante en una posición de inquietud, en donde el sector privado no renovará la inversión y el crecimiento en tanto la credibilidad gubernamental sea vacilante. El gobernante puede encontrarse en la posición del barón Von Münchausen, que buscando la manera "más barata" de salir del lodo se aferra a su propio cabello...
