Abstract

Introducción. Como es bien sabido, la economía chilena sufrió diversas reformas estructurales profundas en la segunda mitad de la década de los setenta que abarcaron desde el régimen comercial hasta el sistema de seguridad social, e incluyeron cambios a una estricta ley de trabajo, una liberación inicial de los precios internos(la mayoría de los cuales habían sido establecidos por un organismo estatal), una liberalización del sistema financiero, una reforma tributaria, la privatización de la empresas propiedad del Estado y otras de menor importancia. Además de todo esto, las reformas fueron presentadas a la opinión pública como un paquete global para transformar la economía de chile en otra de sector privado, de mercado libre, en la cual los derechos de propiedad habrían de respetarse plenamente...
