Abstract

Introducción. La economía mexicana ha experimentado una drástica apertura en sus transacciones con el exterior a partir de 1988, la cual ha tenido un importante efecto en el saldo de la balanza comercial privada. Las importaciones del sector privado, que durante el periodo 1982-1987 crecieron a una tasa promedio anual de 0.7%, aumentaron dicha tasa a 40.2% en los años de 1988 a 1990. Por su parte, las exportaciones totales del sector privado observaron una recuperación importante a partir de 1986, con la instrumentación de una variedad de programas orientados hacia la promoción de las exportaciones...
