Abstract

Introducción. Después de más de dos decenios de dictadura militar el primer gobierno democraticamente elegido inició una nueva fase de política económica. Su objetivo prinicipal es el encuentro de soluciones perdurables para los graves problemas heredados del pasado. Durante varios decenios la economía brasileña ha venido acumulando desequilibrios internos y externos. Las dimensiones de estas distorsiones y la naturaleza profunda de estas causas justifican el alcance y la astringencia de las medidas economicas adoptadas luego de la inaguración del gobierno del presidente Fernando Collor...
