Bases para el desarrollo de la economía chilena: Una visión alternativa

Abstract

Para abordar la discusión sobre el tema de las bases para un nuevo desarrollo de la economía chilena es preciso comenzar echando una rápida mirada a lo que ha sido la evolución económica, social y política de Chile en los últimos 25 años. No es necesario examinar en detalle todo lo que ha acontecido en este periodo; simplemente hay que consignar el hecho de que precisamente en esta fase histórica Chile ha vivido una muy intensa sucesión de cambios y de experimentos políticos y sociales de la más variable naturaleza, en un rango que probablemente no tiene parangón en la experiencia contemporánea de ningún otro país del mundo. En el breve interludio de este cuarto de siglo el país ha vivido las experiencias contrapuestas de la "revolución en libertad", "la vía chilena al socialismo" y la dirección terminó generando, a fin de cuentas, una enorme inseguridad. En la historia de los últimos 25 años la inseguridad ha llegado a ser un elemento fundamental, subyacente al funcionamiento global de la economía y de la política chilenas...
