La evolución económica de México 1870-1940

Abstract

El presente ensayo versa sobre el comportamiento de la economía mexicana durante el periodo comprendido entre la década de los años setenta del siglo pasado y los cuarenta del actual. Desde el punto de vista político ese perido presenta cambios profundos: la restauración de la República por Juárez en 1867 y su gradual transformación en la dictadura de Porfirio Díaz a partir de 1877, dentro del esquema del liberalismo individualista; la caída de esa dictadura en 1911; la consolidación del nuevo régimen con la carta constitucional de 1917 y el cumplimiento de las reformas consagradas en ella, particularmente en la tenencia de la tierra y las relaciones de trabajo, y la función del Estado com gestor del desarrollo económico y la democracia social, todo lo cual culminó entre 1935 y 1940...
