Abstract

En el prefacio de este libro Bridel se refiere a las reuniones semanales con dos de sus colegas de Cambridge, Murray Milgate y Bjorn Hansson, como algo importante para el desarrollo de sus ideas. Esas reuniones deben haber sido en verdad muy fructíferas. Tres libros competentes -si no es que brillantes-, que combinan la historia de la economía con la teoría económica, salieron del grupo de estudio informal: Hansson, Stockholm School and the Development of Dynamic Analysis; Milgate, Capital and Employment, y este de Bridel, Cambridge Monetary Thought. Los libros son complementarios. Milgate, basado en el método de largo plazo de los clásicos, realiza un examen académico de la historia de la economía a fin de aclarar la naturaleza de la transición del Treatise on Money a la Teoría General de Keynes...
