La importancia de la asistencia temprana en la participación cultural

Abstract

Este estudio analiza los efectos de la exposición temprana a la cultura y las artes en la participación cultural durante la adultez, partiendo de la hipótesis de que los hábitos culturales pueden transmitirse de manera intergeneracional. En este sentido, los padres desempeñan un papel clave al fomentar en sus hijos el interés por la cultura y las artes mediante su participación en actividades culturales desde la infancia. Para evaluar esta hipótesis se utilizaron datos del Módulo sobre Eventos Culturales (MODECULT), una encuesta realizada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) a residentes en México. Mediante la estimación de un modelo binomial negativo con inflación de ceros (ZINB), los resultados corroboraron la hipótesis, mostrando que la participación cultural tiende a transmitirse de una generación a otra.
