Hacia una medida de bienestar social en los municipios de la Comunidad Autónoma de Euskadi

Abstract

Los indicadores convencionales de desarrollo económico, como el PIB per cápita, sufren una severa obsolescencia y están siendo sustituidos por otras medidas del bienestar. En este artículo se propone un índice compuesto que mide el bienestar social en los municipios de la Comunidad Autónoma de Euskadi. La métrica utilizada permite tanto comparaciones transversales (entre municipios) como longitudinales (entre diferentes momentos de tiempo). Con los resultados obtenidos se ha clasificado a la población vasca en función del nivel de bienestar del municipio en que reside. Del trabajo también se concluye que el bienestar en Euskadi ha aumentado entre los ejercicios 2001 y 2020, a pesar de los efectos de la crisis, y que el bienestar de los municipios vascos tiende a converger en el mismo periodo.
